Focus | Yves Klein

Focus – Yves Klein will feature a selection of Klein's most iconic sculptures in an immersive presentation.

Pigment Pur (1957 / 2021), a monumental installation of pigment set on the floor, will take over part of the gallery to offer our visitors a unique experience symbolizing infinity.

This exhibition was made possible with the support of the Archives Yves Klein.
Blue has no dimensions; it is beyond dimensions, whereas the other colours are not... All colours arouse specific associative ideas... while blue suggests at most the sea and sky, and they, after all, are in actual, visible nature what is most abstract.
Yves Klein
Pure Pigments – Pure pigment, exhibited on the ground, became painting itself rather than a hung picture; the fixative medium being the most immaterial possible, that is to say, it is a force of attraction that directed only toward itself . It did not alter the pigment grains, as inevitably does oil, glue, or even my own special fixative. The only trouble with this: one naturally stands upright and gazes toward the horizon.
